The lay of the land

We're going to do a group walk to the ridge again this year at about 7:30 to all watch the sunset together. It was a highlight of the day last year.

trying this blog out

this is not public yet. We did a separate blogger website for each of the last four Woodzies and they were never connected. The idea here is to have one site with a different kind of interface to be the single Woodzie site for all years. I have no idea if it will be the best thing to do or not. I figured it was worth a try.

Photos from the first Woodzie

Can I play at the Woodzie?

Here's the deal. There's a nice P.A. provided by Chris MacKenzie and a large stage made out of two flatbed trailers BUT most playing will be done around the campfires. That's what you need to count on doing. If you come with the desire... you'll get to meet a lot of people and play all you want. It's not all that unlike the Kerrville Folk Festival sing around the campfire in the campground thing - that's where most of the fun always happens. Anyone and everyone can join in the groups around the campsites and it's from there that people take home their best memories. We're trying to tailor this event away from being a standard "stage with audience" to have that extra dimension of several campfire song circle events going where everybody can play all they want.
